Welcome to the home of a young couple – an engineer and a gardener – and their adorable baby girl.
Before the couple built their home, they dreamt of a patio overflowing with greenery, meshing seamlessly with a lush garden. But our first visit to the site quickly led to the conclusion that, in this particular space, this was not an option.
Instead, we offered a creative solution involving a unique melding of the house and the garden outside. The plans called for a pastoral entranceway to the yard that is also an integral part of the entranceway to the house. In this space, the couple can sit back on a bench and relax after a long day’s work in the heart of a bucolic garden featuring a shade tree. The three distinct parts of the beautifully kept garden are devoted to flowers, herbs, and fruit trees surrounding the house on every side.
